क्या बताऊं? मैं सफ़र में हुं मैं अभी बस में हुं  अपने वश में नहीं हुं दिल के हाथों बेबस हुं! उनकी उड़ती हुई जुल्फें जुल्म ढाह रहीं हैं तन मन में स्पर्श से सरसराहट सी हैं रगों व रोम रोम में उनकी सांसों की कस में हुं बदन की खुश्ब में हुं बड़ी कसम कस में हुं मैं अभी बस में हुं आंखें चुराकर निहार रहा हुं उनकी सुर्ख़ आंखों में विहार रहा हुं मैं लाज की लालिमा में दिल से यश में हुं तो दिमाग़ से अपयश में हुं मदहोशी से लबा-लब  नस नस में हुं मैं अभी बस में हुं वो अब बोलेंगी, वो तब बोलेंगी क्या दिल खुला रखेंगी ? और होठ बंद रखेंगी, वो कब बोलेंगी? समान संकेत से असहज,  मैं मधुमास का भौरा जैसे पुष्प-रस में हुं मैं अभी बस में हुं भाव स्वतः स्फूर्त है दो मूर्तियां मूर्त हैं क्या सही, क्या गलत? पर जज़्बात तो  अमूर्त है दिल में बजे हैं साज-बाज रोक रही है लोक लाज अदालते -अंदरूनी बहस  में हुं मैं अभी बस में हुं कुछ कहा जब कान में मिसरी घुली थी ज़ुबान में मानो कोई तीर था कमान में और जान आ गई हो इस बेजान में ख़्वाब से बाहर, जस का तस में हुं कहा जब " मंज़िल आ गई मेरी!" दिल-दिमाग़, रूह -क
